I’m not too late am I?
This feels like a long time coming. Most who know me, know I'm more of an introvert so the idea of blogging might seem strange. Introversion is a funny thing, for the most part it's only when you are around people you don't know or in settings that are outside your comfort zone. That said, the quilting world is one of the few places I actually feel like an extrovert!! I used to work in a Quilt shop and every day I engaged in amazing conversations with Quilty people about Quilting trends and techniques, new fabric lines, project ideas and we shared inspiration and tips. I miss these conversations! These are the conversations that feed my soul!
I’m a long armer by trade, I was drawn to long arming when I saw my quilt tops go from simply pieced to quilted with personality. Once I started I was hooked. My favorite time of the day is when I go into my studio and get into a zone of loading the quilts on my frame, auditioning thread colours, picking patterns and the scale needed to make it juuuust right! Once the quilt comes off the frame it's like looking at the quilt for the first time all over again.
While I plan to share hints and tips with you to make sure your long arming experience is everything it should be, this blog is going to be about all things quilting. I am constantly looking to try new things and test my skills at my sewing machine. I'm a master fabric curator and Pattern hoarder, there are so many things on my quilty to do list and I'll be sharing them with you along the way.
Looking forward to many soul feeding conversations with you all!
